Best Beach Clubs in Dubai & UAE
Stylish days in the sun beckon at Dubai and the UAE’s famous beach clubs. Flaunting elegant beachfront settings from where you can delight in laidback lounging, poolside partying and exceptional fine dining. Set to the backdrop of live music and ambient atmospheres, as you soak up sunsets and rub shoulders with celebs, before dancing into the early hours at some of the region’s most exciting events. Here’s a selection of the best beach clubs which await your discovery on a sun-filled stay in Dubai or Fujairah.
Lava Beach Club
Beyond the hustle and bustle of Dubai, one of the region’s premier beach destinations can be found at Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort’s Lava Beach Club (7am to 8pm). Revealing the perfect blend of excitement and relaxation, as you opt to unwind on the amphitheatre-style sun loungers, on the private stretch of beach, or in the free-form pool’s jacuzzis and sunken bar. In the company of views that look out over the shimmering Gulf of Oman and the soaring Al Hajar Mountains, which are best admired as the sun slowly sets over Fujairah.
Great food can also be enjoyed at Lava Dining (11am to 7pm) inviting you to sample a medley of meats, local seafood, salads and sushi in the resort’s MediterrAsian restaurant. Or for a more bespoke experience, book a day chalet and delight in the use of your own private sofas, bathroom, outdoor lounge seating and mini bar. Children can also frequent Lava Beach Club and enjoy the use of their own pool with splash pad water play. But guests must be 16 or over to gain access to the club’s main pool and day chalets.
Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai
This world-famous beach club concept has now brought its international reputation to the shores of the Arabian Gulf at the adults-only Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai (11am to 9pm) on Pearl Jumeira. Flaunting the same signature all-white decor, chilled out vibes and sophisticated settings that can be soaked up from the club’s selection of open, enclosed and private pool and sea-facing cabanas. Complete with an ever-changing calendar of live music events and performances – regularly welcoming leading musicians and international DJs – to provide the soundtrack to some of the most popular parties in Dubai.
Beyond the parties, Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai is also among the best places in the city to simply soak up the sun as you admire views of Downtown Dubai. Before delighting in the use of the resort’s oversized leisure pool (complete with a swim-up bar) and the elegant four-tier shisha terrace. Light lunches and evenings of fine dining are also cherished for their offerings of globally-inspired cuisine that are representative of all the glamorous destinations where you’ll find a Nikki Beach – namely Miami, Saint Tropez, Marbella, Koh Samui, Ibiza, Barbados, Versilia and now Dubai!
Drift Beach Club
Set within the majestic One&Only Royal Mirage, DRIFT Beach Club (10.30am to 7.30pm) is home to one of the city’s most bespoke seafront destinations. Revealing laidback living by day – centred on the resort’s magnificent infinity pool – where a selection of stylish sunloungers (AED 250) can be enjoyed with complimentary cold towels, a seasonal fruit bowl and bottles of still or sparkling water. Or for a more hedonistic experience, book an island bed (AED 1,500) or private cabana (AED 1,000) and soak up the sun in the accompaniment of sparkling grape.
Increasing in tempo as evening descends, where cocktails created courtesy of the club’s award-winning mixologist can be sipped as you admire the bright lights of Dubai Marina and the soon-to-be-opened Ain Dubai – the largest observation wheel in the world. But exceptional days and nights of dining also beckon at DRIFT Restaurant (12.30pm to 7.30pm) as you taste your way through a Provence-inspired menu that features only the finest organic ingredients, which will evoke feelings of dining on a warm evening in the French Riviera. Guests must be over 16 to enter DRIFT Beach Club and must be accompanied by an adult if between the ages of 16 and 20.
The final hotel to complete the magnificent complex of Madinat Jumeirah – the largest resort in all of Dubai – Jumeirah Al Naseem is among the stars in the city’s well-polished crown of luxury resorts, with its expansive terraces and lush gardens that edge the sandy beach. But at the heart of the hotel is Summersalt: a sophisticated beach club that sits in front of the iconic Burj Al Arab, where you’re free to soak up the sun by the pool or on the club’s private beach area.
Joined every day from 9am to 9pm by a selection of signature cocktails (or create your own) and a creative menu that stars the great tastes of the ocean. Complete with the club’s resident DJs, who are on hand to bring the party vibes late into the evening. Brunches here (Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 4pm) are also a great way to see in the weekend, as you delight in unlimited food and signature drinks within the stylish settings of Summersalt. Under 21s are not permitted at the beach club unless accompanied by an adult staying at Jumeirah Al Naseem.
Barasti Beach Bar
Ideally located alongside the city’s largest private beach, good vibes and even better entertainment beckon at Barasti Beach Bar. Dubai’s oldest and most famous beach club, which makes its home within the elegant Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina. Revealing an eclectic calendar of events that changes almost daily – don’t miss the Tropicana 80s & 90s BBQ Party (every Wednesday) or Aquarius Ladies Day (every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday).
But more than just a bar, this longstanding institution is at the heart of the city’s nightlife. By day a haven of blissful beachfront vibes and laidback dining, which every evening transforms into a lively socialising space that blasts music into the early hours. Should you be in search of more relaxing vibes, however, the club’s multiple levels provide ample space for you to find a quiet corner to socialise or watch sports on any of the club’s hundreds of screens. It’s safe to say that – like the fine wines on the venue’s menu – Barasti Beach Bar is only getting better with age.
Boasting a beach, garden, multiple lounges and a restaurant, there’s something for all occasions at the multi-award winning Zero Gravity (12pm to 2am). Made all the more enticing with the beach club’s location overlooking Dubai Marina, where cocktails and your choice of fine or casual dining can be enjoyed along with the sight of skydivers plummeting towards the drop zone of Skydive Dubai!
But above all, Zero Gravity is a space to slow down as the city’s pulse races outside. Flaunting upscale features like the glass-fronted infinity pool and access to a pristine stretch of private beach, which can be relished from the comfort of stylish day beds and loungers with a day pass (AED 160) granting you access to both. Not to be missed, however, are the venue’s famous brunches (over 21s) that take place every weekend – combining unlimited food and beverages with the tropical sounds that are supplied courtesy of the city’s finest DJs. Such is the stature of Zero Gravity, the beach club also continues to attract some of the biggest names in world music, in the past hosting the likes of Fatboy Slim, Rudimental, Judge Jules and Chase & Status.
