Greece privatization agency has launched a tender process for the 380-berth marina sited in the Aretsou area of Kalamaria municipality, which in turn is part of Thessaloniki city.
As an initial step, according to a recent advertisement in the Financial Times, the agency has invited expressions of interest to participate in the tender process for a concession of at least 35 years for the port.
The concession agreement will cover port operation services including berthing, and the right to use, operate, manage and exploit the movable and/or fixed assets within the upland area and/or the sea area of the marina. The deadline for expressions of interest to be submitted is May 11, 2021.
According to the advertisement, the sea area of the marina extends to a surface of approximately 10,000sq m and can accommodate over 380 yachts up to 50m (164ft)-long. The upland area of the marina extends to some 78,000sq m.
The concession tender process will involve two stages with a pre-qualification stage followed by a binding offer phase. As part of the process a number of companies including Kantor Management Consultants SA, Marnet Engineering Consultants SA, Samaras Cons Engineers, and Lexpartners Sfikakis & Associates Law Firm, are acting as advisers.
