Povljana is a municipality in Croatia. It is situated in Zadar County, in the southern part of the island of Pag.
The island of Pag is located between the Velebit Channel and Kvarneric, between the island of Rab, Oliba, and Vir, close to the mainland. With an area of 286.6 km2, one of the largest Adriatic islands, with 270 km of coastline, is the island with the longest coastline on the Adriatic, rich with coves, bays, beaches, and capes.
The bay of Pag is surrounded by 20 km of beaches. The existing road network is of a satisfactory high standard. It connects the municipality with the county center through a bridge Pag.
The uniqueness and importance of Povljana arise from its insular position. Since the Croatian islands as natural wealth have a special significance for our country, Povljana is also associated with the historical, economic, and ecological significance important for Croatia. This importance is evident through the obligation of designing the Program of sustainable development of the island, which, after its preparation, is the basis for the further development of spatial planning documents of each islands’ local government units.
Marina Povljana, as a marina of the highest category, is equipped with the highest quality tools and equipment, has the highest standard and variety of services, and provides the highest quality of maintenance of marinas in general.
The subject of this project is maritime-construction works on the construction of a port open to public traffic of local interest on the island of Pag. The main goal is the construction of a port open to public traffic along with berths and facilities on land.
The total area is 87661.44 m2, of which 28218.00 m2 refers to the mainland and 59443.44 m2 marine part.
West of the main breakwater gas station is planned, one which will serve to supply vessels and supply fuel to vehicles.
All buildings within the land area are located within a defined public space.
The maximum surface area to accommodate the central object is 4350.00 m2, for coastal restaurant
250.00 m2, for sanitary 420.00 m2, and for building a gas station 60.00 m2.
The western part of the plot driveway to the parking lot with 56 parking spaces is planned. Along the coastal road, there are another 18 parking spaces.
