Pre-Covid income levels have returned to Croatia's ACI Marinas

    Revenues up by almost 30%

Croatian ACI Marinas (ACI) increased revenue by 29 percent, or HRK20 million (US$3 million), in the third quarter of 2021, matching the record third-quarter revenue generated in the pre-pandemic year of 2019.

According to the company and Total Croatia News, ACUI earned HRK88.7 million (US$13.6 million) in the third quarter of 2019, HRK69.4 million (US$10.6 million) in 2020, and HRK 89.5 million (US$13.7 million) this year.

According to the report, the rapid vaccine implementation, ACI’s security requirements across all of its sites, and the reopening of borders are propelling growth.

ACI notes in its newsletter that with the conclusion of the Croatian nautical tourist season, it will construct breakwaters and other projects at seven of its marinas.

“With regard to the third-quarter performance, we can say that we are really pleased.” All of the operations we carried out to prepare for the tourist season, with the focus being the health and safety of both our staff and visitors, resulted in a rise in operating income, which was something we hoped for,” said the business director Kristjan Pavic.

ACI further said that ACI and GITONE Kvarner formed a joint entity – ACI-GITONE – to apply for the development of a nautical tourist port in Rijeka, which is said to be the biggest maritime project proposed in the Republic’s history.
