Sanlorenzo’s Superyacht Division through 2020-21 received 22 orders, plus requests for larger vessels. The Italian yacht maker proposes a multimillion-euro investment at its La Spezia shipyard over the next two years to meet demand.
During a visit to the yard as part of the 2022 YARE (Yachting Aftersales & Refit Experience), Luigi Adamo, Sanlorenzo’s sales director, addressed the plans to enhance the yard’s capacity.
“We are going to reclaim an area of the waterfront and then build two new 120m (394ft) sheds with offices on the top,” he said.
The most extraordinary order received in the last two years or so is for a 72m (236ft) superyacht, and a second is in the discussion. The first is still being designed.
Sanlorenzo operates through a service network that now comprises five sites in Italy and others in six European nations, the United States through Sanlorenzo Americas, and the Asia Pacific area through Sanlorenzo’s office in Hong Kong. France, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, and the Netherlands are among the European nations offered.
