Exploring Greece by Sea: Our FAM TRIP Flotilla Adventure

Our FAM TRIP Flotilla Adventure - Exploring Greece by Sea (2)
Ana Lesica

This year, the Marine Project Team had the incredible opportunity to attend the FAM TRIP flotilla in Greece. Our charter broker, Ana Lesica, spent three unforgettable days on board the Lagoon 620 ATLANTIS, discovering the beauty of the Greek islands.

Day 1: Poros to Porto Heli

Our journey began in the picturesque town of Poros, where we boarded our catamarans. The weather was perfect—sunny and 23 degrees—as we set sail, enjoying the stunning waterfront views. Our first destination was Agios Emilianos Bay, where we planned to stop for lunch and a swim.

As we sailed, I took some time to relax on a lounge sofa, soaking up the sun. Meanwhile, our talented chef was busy preparing what promised to be a delicious meal. After about two hours of cruising, we arrived at Agios Emilianos Bay. Some of our group took a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water, while some decided to lounge in the bow area with a cocktail.

Our lunch was a true highlight. Our chef prepared a sumptuous lobster risotto, paired with a fresh rocket and artichoke salad. To top it off, he even baked his own bread! After lunch, we continued our journey to Porto Heli, where we would spend our first night.

Upon arriving in Porto Heli, we took organized taxi boats to the nearby island of Spetses for dinner. Spetses is popular among tourist for its charming local designer shops and vibrant art galleries. We explored the town, did some shopping, and enjoyed a glass of Prosecco with our group. Returning to the boat, we ended the day with a delightful dinner and a glass of exquisite Greek red wine.

Day 2: Swimming in Paradise

Our second day began with a journey to a stunning swimming spot—a well-protected bay on Dokos island with turquoise waters and breath-taking scenery. Although I was having second thought about jumping in, the beauty of the location convinced me to take a long swim. I swam to a small beach nearby, enjoying the peaceful setting.

After lunch, we sailed to Ermioni for our overnight stop. From Ermioni, we took a catamaran to visit Hydra, a serene island free of cars where donkeys are the primary mode of transportation. Hydra is a haven for cat lovers, with friendly felines everywhere. The island’s white-washed houses and bougainvillea flowers create a picturesque setting, complemented by charming local jewellery shops.

We spent the afternoon exploring and shopping in Hydra, enjoying drinks by the port before returning to our boat for another exquisite dinner prepared by our chef. The evening culminated in a lively party on the Sunreef 80 GENNY, complete with DJ music, cocktails, and dancing late into the night.

Day 3: Final Stops and Farewells

Our final day began with a hearty breakfast before setting sail for Aegina. On our route, we stopped at another protected bay for lunch, where we had the best fish dish, served by our chef. The tranquil surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for our meal.

In Aegina, we had dinner at a local tavern, enjoying delicious Greek cuisine and reflecting on the incredible experiences of the past three days. The great company we kept with our group made this journey even more special, turning strangers into friends.

Our FAM TRIP flotilla in Greece was an extraordinary adventure, filled with stunning destinations, delicious food, and unforgettable memories. The Lagoon 620 ATLANTIS proved to be an excellent choice for charter, being well-equipped and meticulously maintained. However, what truly made the difference was the incredible ATLANTIS crew and the wonderful people on board. We all became friends after just three days together.

The music on board was perfectly tailored to the mood, enhancing our enjoyment throughout the trip. The overall service was top-notch, and the vibe between the crew and guests was exceptional. I would gladly embark on this journey again in the future.

The Greek islands, with their turquoise seas and rich culture, are simply beautiful, and it’s easy to see why people return time and again.
