France to invest €30m on modernisation of nautical infrastructure

The French government is to provide €30m for the modernization of nautical bases and marinas as part of the Destination France plan for the transformation of tourism in the country. Some €20m is being allocated to marinas and the balance to nautical bases.

Regarding marinas, the funds will be available to accelerate the ecological transition of marinas finances studies and investments to:

Carry out a comprehensive environmental diagnosis leading to an action plan
Fight against water pollution, in particular, fairing areas, floating dams, equipment to recover grey/black water
Improve port waste collection, in particular the installation of selective collection points
Limit drinking water consumption, in particular relating to pressure reducing devices and rainwater recovery devices
Reduce carbon energy consumption, in particular non-thermal propulsion easement vessels
Produce your renewable energy
Preserving marine and terrestrial biodiversity, in particular relating to habitat restoration, waterproofing and soil renaturation

Regarding nautical bases, funding could cover:

Throughout the year, the ‘run-of-river’ aid scheme finances studies and investments to promote the implementation of sustainable management approaches to nautical bases and contribute to their greening and modernization
The ‘Exemplary Nautical Base’ call for projects will subsidize ambitious projects for the modernization and renovation of nautical bases (amount of activities greater than €500k)
Other thematic calls for projects may be deployed.

The funded studies or work must be completed by December 31, 2025.
