The French government is to provide €30m for the modernization of nautical bases and marinas as part of the Destination France plan for the transformation of tourism in the country. Some €20m is being allocated to marinas and the balance to nautical bases.
Regarding marinas, the funds will be available to accelerate the ecological transition of marinas finances studies and investments to:
- Carry out a comprehensive environmental diagnosis leading to an action plan
- Fight against water pollution, in particular, fairing areas, floating dams, equipment to recover grey/black water
- Improve port waste collection, in particular the installation of selective collection points
- Limit drinking water consumption, in particular relating to pressure reducing devices and rainwater recovery devices
- Reduce carbon energy consumption, in particular non-thermal propulsion easement vessels
- Produce your renewable energy
- Preserving marine and terrestrial biodiversity, in particular relating to habitat restoration, waterproofing and soil renaturation
