Croatia is already a popular destination for luxury charter vacations, but the Lastovo Islands
offer a unique and pristine setting that is sure to please even the most discerning traveler. The
largest and most populous of the Lastovo Islands, Lastovo is a veritable paradise, with gorgeous
beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush vegetation.
Lastovo is a perfect choice for those who crave privacy and seclusion, as the island is home to
just a few hundred permanent residents. You will have no trouble finding a private
cove or beach to relax on. Lastovo is also an excellent choice for nature lovers, as the island is
home to numerous hiking and biking trails, as well as a protected nature reserve.
There are no cars or roads on the island—only donkey carts! There are also many medieval churches and castles that have been preserved over the years.

The island has a population of just over 1,500 people who live in several small villages including Lastovo town on the southern side of the island. The region has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997 due to its spectacular scenery and marine life.
Lastovo is also known for its many historic sites including an 11th century Benedictine Monastery which was built by monks from Split who were fleeing from pirates. The monastery contains several relics of saints as well as frescoes painted by Italian artists during their time there.
During your visit you can also visit the famous Blue Cave which was formed when lava flowed into an underwater cave and cooled down leaving behind jagged rocks that appear blue when they reflect light off them onto your skin when you swim through them!
