With a casual style and everything you can possibly want in a beach club the legendary Club 55 had been open since it's creation in 1955. It's philosophy is summed up in one sentence, "Here the customer is not the king...because he's a friend."
Club 55 never claimed to be a gourmet restaurant, they serve simple food with good products for all budgets. The restaurant is definitely an outstanding venue where simplicity and authenticity are the key words.
The kindness of the owner Patrice de Colmont, his extraordinary sense of hospitality and his respect for the natural and wild environment of Pampelonne are the ingredients for the success of this beach.
The celebrities and great personalities who have already spent their stay lounging on the deckchairs and chatting for hours on end with Patrice have undoubtedly also contributed to the success and longevity of the Club 55. At the Club, anonymous as famous people feel at home because simplicity and kindness are the order of the day. Here, the Saint-Tropez of yesteryear is celebrated in an authentic Provençal setting without artifice, right up to the table, with organic wines, or on the plate, with simple Provençal dishes such as artichoke vinaigrette.
Many dishes at Club 55 are animal protein free. Club 55 is a member of ENERCOOP, an electricity supply cooperative which guarantees that we exclusively supply electricity from 100% renewable energies. For 6 years, they have been supplementing market gardening production with own farm at Château de la Mole. All of our organic waste is used to feed our farm animals and make compost to enrich our vegetable gardens.
