Location potential
The island of Pašman, nestled in the heart of the Adriatic Sea, is a hidden gem awaiting discovery. Known for its unspoiled natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere, Pašman is a haven for those seeking a retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
The settlement of Banj, on the island of Pašman, represents a unique opportunity to experience the authentic charm of a Dalmatian island. With its idyllic landscapes, traditional architecture, and serene coastal vistas, Banj invites visitors to step back in time and savor the simple pleasures of island life.
Project description
The Spatial Development Plan of Pašman municipality has envisioned a remarkable project for the settlement of Banj—a nautical tourism port that promises to enhance the island’s appeal and accessibility.
This project proposes the construction of a modern nautical tourism port, equipped to accommodate vessels with a draft depth ranging from 2.5 to 3 meters. To make this vision a reality, the implementation of UDP 12, specifically the UDP of the coastal and harbor management, is essential. This Urban Development Plan will outline the framework for the development of the harbor of Banj and its surrounding area.
Banj’s strategic location within the picturesque island of Pašman positions it as a gateway to the island’s natural wonders and cultural heritage. The nautical tourism port project aims to provide a safe and welcoming harbor for seafarers, thereby enhancing the island’s allure and fostering tourism.
As Pašman continues to enchant visitors with its unspoiled landscapes and authentic island experience, the nautical tourism port in Banj represents a significant step forward in the island’s journey towards sustainable tourism and development. This project promises to provide not only economic benefits but also a more accessible and enriching experience for all who choose to explore the island’s treasures.
Project realization model
The construction and commercial use of the Banj nautical tourism port, i.e. the maritime property, is granted in concession for a period of 30 years, counting from the day of the conclusion of the concession contract. The concessionaire will be selected based on a public tender announced by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure. Preparatory activities are being carried out for the purpose of calling for a public call for tenders for the award of a concession on maritime property.
