Pag, often referred to as “The Island of Pag,” is a captivating coastal town nestled along Croatia’s Adriatic coastline. It stands as a testament to the country’s rich history and natural beauty, offering visitors a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Pag is renowned for its distinctive architecture, including the notable Paski most (Pag Bridge), which connects the island to the mainland.
This picturesque town is famed for its stunning landscapes, characterized by rocky cliffs, crystalline waters, and expansive salt flats. The town’s unique topography, influenced by the strong bura winds, has given rise to an otherworldly lunar-like landscape, making it a fascinating destination for nature enthusiasts. The town of Pag itself offers a unique blend of history, tradition, and contemporary charm, captivating the hearts of those who visit
Project description
The Marina Pag project is set to enhance the allure of this captivating town. With a size of 5.6 hectares, encompassing both land and sea areas, and offering a draft depth of 2 to 4 meters, this marina holds promise for maritime enthusiasts. It is designed to accommodate up to 50 moorings, catering to a range of vessels.
This visionary project aligns seamlessly with the spatial plan of Paga Castle, which envisions the creation of a nautical tourism harbor within the L3 area of the Paga Castle vicinity. Moreover, the adoption of the urban development plan for the coastal area of Bašac further paves the way for the realization of the Pag Nautic Tourism Port.
As the Marina Pag project takes shape, it represents not only an investment in maritime infrastructure but also a commitment to enhancing the town’s appeal as a coastal gem. With its unique landscapes, cultural treasures, and now a modern marina, Pag is poised to captivate the hearts of even more travelers seeking an authentic Adriatic experience.
Project realization model
The construction and commercial use of the Pag nautical tourism port, i.e. the maritime property, is granted in concession for a period of 30 years, counting from the day of the conclusion of the concession contract. The concessionaire will be selected based on a public tender announced by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure. Preparatory activities are being carried out for the purpose of calling for a public call for tenders for the award of a concession on maritime property
