Nestled in the heart of the island of Hvar, Stari Grad combines historical charm with natural beauty. The region’s rich cultural heritage, idyllic landscapes, and a Mediterranean climate make it an ideal destination for travelers seeking an authentic island experience.

Račica Marina, covering 4 hectares, is strategically located and poised to become a thriving center for nautical tourism. Whether it’s the historic Old Town or the pristine waters of the Adriatic, Stari Grad has all the elements to attract tourists from around the world.
The spatial plan of the Old Town envisages the construction of the Račica nautical tourism port with a maximum capacity of 190 berths, with the land and water area spanning 4.0 hectares. For the further development of the project, it is necessary to adopt the Urban Development Plan for the Račica Nautical Tourism Port and contact zone.

Project description

The “Račica Marina” project envisions the creation of a vibrant nautical tourism destination with a planned capacity of 190 berths. This marina, covering 4 hectares, offers a serene setting for moored vessels.
With a sea draft ranging from 2 to 4 meters, Račica Marina accommodates boats and yachts of various sizes, providing flexibility for maritime enthusiasts.

The adoption of the Urban Development Plan for the Račica Nautical Tourism Port and contact zone is crucial for the further development of the project. This planning process will determine the exact layout, infrastructure, and amenities of the marina, ensuring it aligns with local regulations and seamlessly integrates into the historic and natural surroundings.

Investors and developers are encouraged to explore the “Račica Marina” project, as it holds significant potential for growth and success in Stari Grad. This opportunity combines historical charm, natural beauty, and meticulous urban planning, making it an enticing prospect for those seeking to enter the nautical tourism sector in this captivating destination.

Project realization model

The construction and commercial use of the Račica nautical tourism port, i.e. the maritime property, is granted in concession for a period of 30 years, counting from the day of the conclusion of the concession contract. The concessionaire will be selected based on a public tender announced by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure. Preparatory activities are being carried out for the purpose of calling for a public call for tenders for the award of a concession on maritime property.
