Nestled along the picturesque Adriatic coast, Marina combines natural beauty and maritime allure. The region’s stunning landscapes, clear waters, and a Mediterranean climate that invites visitors year-round make it an ideal destination for travelers seeking an authentic Adriatic experience.
Vela Borovica Marina, with its size of 4.5 hectares and accommodating 110 moorings, is strategically located and well-suited to become a thriving hub for nautical tourism. Whether it’s the captivating coastal scenery or the rich historical sites, Marina Municipality has all the elements to attract tourists from around the world.
The adoption of the Urban Development Plan of the Vela Borovica Tourist Resort in the vicinity has fulfilled all the prerequisites for obtaining a location permit, streamlining the development process for this project.
Project description
The “Vela Borovica Marina” project envisions the creation of a dynamic nautical tourism destination with an anticipated capacity of approximately 110 moorings. This marina, spanning 4.5 hectares of land, is designed to provide a serene and picturesque setting for moored vessels.
A significant feature of Vela Borovica Marina is its accommodating sea draft, with depths ranging from 3 to 4 meters. This flexibility allows for the mooring of vessels of various sizes, making it an attractive choice for maritime enthusiasts.
According to the spatial plan of the Municipality of Marina, the main breakwater facility plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of the marina. It is designed in an approximate west-east direction, with specific dimensions to reduce wave energy from the open sea, enhance water circulation, and allow vessels to stay both inside and outside the breakwater.
Investors and developers are encouraged to explore the “Vela Borovica Marina” project, as it holds significant potential for growth and success in Marina Municipality. This opportunity combines natural beauty, strategic location, and detailed urban planning, making it an enticing prospect for those seeking to enter the nautical tourism sector in this captivating destination.
Project realization model
The construction and commercial use of the Vela Borovica nautical tourism port, i.e. the maritime property, is granted in concession for a period of 30 years, counting from the day of the conclusion of the concession contract. The concessionaire will be selected based on a public tender announced by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure. Preparatory activities are being carried out for the purpose of calling for a public call for tenders for the award of a concession on maritime property.
