The Arun Yacht Club is a friendly, family-focused community sailing club founded in 1956 and is situated on the west bank of the River Arun in Littlehampton, West Sussex. The club is run by volunteer members and we like to think of ourselves as the premier club for yachting, dinghy sailing and learning to sail in Sussex. Come along to our club Open Day and join in the fun.

Arun Yacht Club is a sea sailing club with the fall-back of river sailing if conditions at sea are unsuitable. There is a busy year-round programme of dinghy racing – sea sailing from Easter to Christmas, with river sailing from Christmas to Easter. Based in Littlehampton Harbour and launching from the secure dinghy compound over a firm, sandy beach into the River Arun – from there it is a short sail through the harbour arms to the open sea.

Arun Yacht Club is just ten minutes from the sea and four hours sailing time from the Solent. We are also an ideal starting point for cruises to the east or south, with many of our regular sailors making passages to Normandy, Brittany and the Channel Islands. We have a clubhouse bar and restaurant and there are organised club races and cruises during the summer months.
