Balboa Yacht Club – USA California – North Pacific Ocean
Balboa Yacht Club embraces its competitive racing heritage. Whether it’s large boats or small boats, local to the bay or crossing oceans, we’re serious about racing.
Members of Balboa Yacht Club have sailed in the America’s Cup, the Olympics, and Transpac. Not to mention our own club-sponsored regattas: Sunkist, BeerCans, Twilights, Long Point, and more. BYC is the host-club for the Governor’s Cup, the oldest and most prestigious youth match racing regatta in the world. In 2017, the Club also hosted the World Sailing Youth Match Racing Worlds and in 2018, the Inter-collegiate Sailing Association’s Match Racing Championships. Looking forward, BYC will host US Sailing’s Champion of Champions in 2020.
