Since 2002, the Port Ghalib International Marina has been a crowning feature in the community.With space to accommodate up to 1,000 yachts, it makes for a stunning harbor display. The award-winning International Marina is fully staffed with Harbor Master, Customs and Immigration office for traveling ships, as well as fully equipped repair and fueling facilities. As Egypt’s first private seaport,the marina is upheld to international standards by UK based marina company Camper and Nicholson, who have acted as the marina’s operator consultants since 1999.

The marina is now classed as an official new Port of Entry to Egypt and has accordingly become the first gateway to Egypt for yachtsmen sailing from the south Red Sea to the Mediterranean.

Situated at only 5 kilometers from the Marsa Alam International Airport (MAIA), the marina offers unlimited options for yachtsmen sailing the Red Sea, either north-bound or south-bound, to plan their own itineraries for international trips, local trips to Cairo and to the touristic sites of Upper Egypt.
