The MYBA Charter Show, recognized as the leading trade-only yachting event, has formally extended its residence at Portosole Marina in Sanremo for an additional three years, confirming the show will remain in this iconic venue through at least 2028…
Why This Matters
With over 700 berths able to accommodate yachts up to 90 m (295 ft), Portosole offers unmatched docking capacity and scenic Mediterranean views making it an ideal backdrop for the world’s premier charter showcase. Following record-breaking attendance and fleet size at the 2025 edition, remaining at Sanremo ensures continuity and amplifies its appeal to brokers, captains, and charter professionals.
Highlights from 2025 & Forecast for Future Editions
- The 35th MYBA Charter Show, held from April 28 to May 1, 2025 at Portosole Sanremo, drew over 80 motor and sailing yachts and attracted delegates from 40+ countries.
- Major yacht highlights of the year included LUNA (nearly 90 m), EMIR (about 82.5 m), and ALFA NERO, marking its comeback to the charter market.
- High-profile industry competitions such as the Chef’s Competition, Tablescaping, and All Hands on Deck were featured, supported by seminars and themed symposiums focused on charter trends, sustainable yachting, and crew excellence.
Official Statements
MYBA’s leadership emphasizes that this extension solidifies the association’s enduring partnership with Sanremo. Both MYBA President Raphael Sauleau and Charter Show Panel Chair Gunes Aysun praised Portosole’s infrastructure and the show’s dynamic atmosphere as reasons for continued collaboration.
Portosole’s general manager, Giorgio Casareto, echoed their sentiment, citing the three-year agreement as validation of the marina’s top-tier hospitality and efficient locale. Together with MYBA, the marina plans to elevate the charter show’s prestige further into the coming editions.
What Lies Ahead
With a secure venue through 2028, future editions of the MYBA Charter Show are poised to exceed expectations. Planners will build upon the momentum of 2025, enriching educational content, expanding exhibitor offerings, and reinforcing Sanremo’s status as a Mediterranean charter hub.
For brokers and industry professionals eyeing insights, emerging yachts, or charter trends, the Sanremo event will continue to be an essential fixture on the calendar and with this extension, offers added stability and predictability for years to come.
