Ms. Roger has over 25-years of experience in the real estate sector, with direct and specialist expertise in marinas and waterfront property.
After initially training as an architect at Cornell and Oslo Universities, Kristi became a practicing professional in the United Kingdom, with work situated around the globe from Hong Kong and South Korea to California and Michigan, USA. Since then, her career activity has exhibited a continual interest in self-education and training, with further qualifications being gained as a project manager (Association for Project Management), a real estate planning and development surveyor (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors), and most recently, a series of certifications in Private Equity Real Estate Investment (Financial Edge UK).
Ms. Roger’s experience exists at the nexus between the real estate and the marine leisure sectors. She is specialist advisor to a HNW family office with a large-scale marina and leisure portfolio comprising 18 marinas. She is actively involved in offering and implementing detailed strategies to enhance the investment and development value of these high-value assets. In addition, she has been the European specialist advisor to a $30bn US REIT seeking to acquire marine assets in the UK and Europe; and is currently serving on the property board of one of the UK’s largest charitable institutions, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). Her multitude of experiences in property, investment and yachting have brought her to the forefront of the marina investment and development sector in the UK, EU and USA.
Kristi is also an avid racing and cruising sailor. She has raced over 50,000 offshore miles, taken part in four Fastnet Races, three Caribbean 600’s, Round Ireland Race, Falmouth to Cascais, Cowes to La Rochelle, eight Round the Island Races and countless inshore regattas from the Solent to the Mediterranean, and Newport to the Caribbean. She owns her own classic teak motor yacht, and sails on board her family’s classic sailing yacht. She is an active member of two prominent UK yacht clubs, The Royal Yacht Squadron and The Royal Ocean Racing Club and spends most of her free time at sea.
