FLOATING XXL LUXURY FLAT
SilverYachts, the Perth-based superyacht builder founded by Guido Krass, is one of the world’s leading yacht builders and a member of the internationally recognised Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss). The yard has worked in close partnership with Monaco-based yacht designer Espen Øino since its inception and the design of its first superyacht in 2007.
The SpaceCat series was announced at the 2019 Singapore Yacht Show and the first yacht was delivered in October this year. The series is the yard’s first multihull to use the catamaran platform, which has become increasingly popular in recent years as it offers a large interior volume and more stability. The hull design is based on the same lightweight, low-drag technology used in the Silver Series yachts. With a length of 35.9m, a beam of 13.3m and a gross tonnage of 480, the yacht offers a large amount of space with a combined exterior area of approximately 490m² and an interior area of 374m².

Espen Øino International has created a unique exterior design that mimics the Silver Series’ signature minimalist, sleek and elegant aesthetic. Spanning three decks, including a spacious, versatile sun deck, Øino has maximised the impact of the glazing on the lower two decks, which highlights the striking bulwark design that connects the two decks at bow and stern.
This instantly recognisable exterior has been combined with a vibrant interior design that makes perfect use of the yacht’s open floor plan and generous volume. The interior design takes advantage of this impressive volume with clean lines that frame the large windows and provide an unobstructed view of the entire main deck. The clever use of wood tones adds a much needed warmth while maintaining the open plan living style.
The yacht’s sun deck is undoubtedly one of SpaceCat’s best features. With 360° views of the ocean, the sundeck is the ideal place to enjoy the company of family and friends. It features a bar, a range of seating and – when the dinghy and jet skis are removed – a spacious aft deck. Guests on board the yacht can use this wide sun deck to watch the sunset or enjoy a sunrise yoga session in perfect privacy.

While the main deck is where the outdoor living takes place, the aft part of the upper deck is perfect for a more intimate dining and lounge experience. The forward area of this bright deck is home to the guest suites and wheelhouse. On the main deck, there is a relaxed lounge and dining area that opens onto an expansive aft deck that can be decked out as desired. Have a drink and relax poolside on the sun pads or cool off in the partially shaded pool. The owner’s cabin is also located on the main deck at the front of the yacht, with excellent sea views and a private terrace at the front. The galley and an additional guest suite are also located on this deck.
