WHY CHOOSE
Horizon yachts
Horizon Yachts was founded in 1987 by naval architect John Lu in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and has grown into one of the world’s top ten custom yacht builders. The shipyard builds semi-custom composite motor yachts spanning the popular Fast Displacement (FD) series, Elegance flybridges, and long-range power catamarans up to 140 feet, utilizing advanced 3D resin vacuum infusion.
Why We Recommend This Builder
We recommend Horizon Yachts for charterers who prioritize massive interior volume, wide beams, and exceptional stability at anchor. Their FD series, designed with Cor D. Rover, features plumb bows, expansive on-deck master suites, floor-to-ceiling glass saloons, and vast multi-level aft beach clubs that rival much larger superyachts.
Perfect For & Charter Overview
Horizon is perfect for multi-generational families, corporate groups, and Bahamas island hoppers. The wide beam and high volume make it feel like a private floating villa. Choose Horizon if you want supreme interior living volume, ultra-stable high-displacement hull hydrodynamics, and shallow-water cruising versatility.
