The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control recently removed the 136-meter Flying Fox from its sanctions list. Originally flagged due to its association with Monaco-based Imperial Yachts SARL, the yacht re-entered the charter market in January 2024 under Bluewater Yachting Dubai. With sanctions lifted, Flying Fox is now open for charters worldwide. Back in June 2022, Imperial Yachts and its CEO were targeted by U.S. sanctions, resulting in the yacht being designated as “blocked property.” Following the sanctions, Imperial Yachts ceased operations and later initiated liquidation proceedings.
Flying Fox is set to offer charters in the Red Sea, Seychelles, and Maldives.
