Safe Harbor Marinas in the United States, the world’s largest marina operator, has acquired two facilities in California: Chula Vista Marina in Chula Vista, San Diego, with just under 600 berths for boats up to 36.5m (120ft), and Marina Bay Yacht Harbor in Richmond, which can accommodate 850 yachts ranging in size from 6m to 26.5m (20ft-120ft).
The new additions bring Safe Harbor’s total wet and dry slip capacity to around 50,000. Safe Harbor now owns and operates 134 marinas in 24 states and Puerto Rico, expanding its Californian boating network to 11 locations.
John Ray, Safe Harbor’s chief transaction officer, declares that Chula Vista and Marina Bay Yacht Harbor marinas are “thrilled to be joining Safe Harbor.” Boaters in these areas will soon learn that a whole new world of the boating lifestyle is now open to them as Safe Harbor’s newest members.
The acquisition price was not disclosed in full for those two marinas.
