The picturesque Audierne marina, located on the stunning French Atlantic coast in Brittany, is about to undergo a significant transformation. An investment of approximately €7.2 million (US$7.8 million) has been allocated to revamp the marina, aiming to enhance the boating experience for visitors and locals alike. This exciting project, expected to be completed by 2027, will gradually replace the existing berths with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
The Audierne marina, managed by the Syndicat mixte des ports de pêche-plaisance de Cornouaille, currently provides berthing for a total of 433 boats, with an additional dry dock area accommodating 207 craft. The upcoming overhaul will not only improve the infrastructure but also elevate the overall appeal and functionality of the marina.
This investment is part of a broader trend of enhancements taking place in Brittany’s marinas. Earlier this year, the Morbihan Ports Company unveiled plans to allocate around €7 million (US$7.5 million) for the modernization and expansion of various marinas in the region in 2023. Among the marinas benefitting from these investments are Crouesty-Arzon and île de Houat. Crouesty-Arzon, boasting an impressive 1,432 berths and a dry dock capacity for 600 boats, offers ample space for boaters to dock securely. Meanwhile, île de Houat provides berthing for 115 craft, catering to those seeking a serene island getaway.
Morbihan Ports Company, responsible for managing a network of 16 marinas along the French Atlantic coast, is committed to ensuring top-notch facilities and services for boat owners and enthusiasts. These developments not only support the local economy but also enhance the region’s reputation as a premier boating destination.
As the construction work progresses at Audierne marina, boaters can look forward to an upgraded and modernized infrastructure that will elevate their experience on the beautiful French Atlantic coast. The investment signifies the commitment to providing a world-class boating environment and showcases the region’s dedication to maintaining its position as a sought-after destination for maritime activities.
Whether you are a seasoned sailor or a passionate boating enthusiast, Audierne marina’s upcoming transformation will undoubtedly add to the allure of exploring the breathtaking Brittany coastline. Stay tuned for further updates as this exciting project takes shape, and get ready to embark on unforgettable boating adventures along France’s Atlantic shores.
