CROATIA YACHT SHOW, Zadar
The Zadar show, held at the Zadar Cruise Port, featured a stunning lineup of superyachts, with the standout 60-meter Trident drawing plenty of attention. Alongside the yachts, the event also marked the Croatian debut of the Bentley Continental GT, a highlight for luxury car enthusiasts eager to see the latest in automotive innovation. For those looking to take luxury to the skies, an eye-catching helicopter, available for rental, added an extra touch of exclusivity. To top off the experience, a fashion show showcased new collections from renowned Croatian designers.
A highlight of each yacht show is always the “Chef’s Competition,” where top superyacht chefs go head-to-head, showcasing their culinary talents with a unique theme. This year’s Zadar show saw SINATA take second place and AKIRA claim first, both impressing with their interpretations of the theme “Mediterranean with a Croatian Twist.” Renowned Croatian chefs with international experience were on the judging panel, adding to the importance of this fun and delicious competition.
CROYA, Split
In contrast, the Split show took place in the heart of the city, allowing yachts to be displayed in their natural charter setting, in the lively off-season charm of Split. The event featured an official opening and yacht viewings, along with a seminar highlighting Croatia as a premier nautical destination. Attendees enjoyed engaging activities like a traditional regatta and “Yacht Hop Night,” which provided excellent networking opportunities within the yacht charter industry.
The Split show also featured a chef competition, where chefs were challenged to demonstrate innovative approaches to Croatian cuisine. The competition was fierce, with judges led by Mike Jennings announcing Mateo Rac, the chef of motor yacht ANNABEL II, as the winner. With over ten years of experience in kitchens worldwide, Mateo impressed the judges with his contemporary take on classic Croatian dishes. The second-place winner was yacht CORSARIO. Additionally, the table-scaping competition, which showcased the creative decorating skills of the crews, was won by the stewardess team from the luxury motor sailor SCORPIOS.
Our Marine Project Team attended both shows, inspecting each yacht from top to bottom, engaging with the crews, and sampling the exquisite cuisine. While it may appear to some as a vacation, attending these shows and experiencing what we offer first-hand is crucial to our mission: aligning clients with their dream yacht vacation!
We enjoyed the stunning Croatian coastline post-show and connected with fellow industry professionals, savouring a bit of the good life.
Events like these provide a much-needed opportunity for the industry to connect, share experiences, and learn more about what makes Croatia a top yacht destination.
